Need Gross Anatomy course
#1
A friend's son needs to take a Human Gross Anatomy course this summer to keep on track with his B&M degree program in Occupational Therapy. But it costs around $5,000 and now due to Covid-19 restrictions, he's not even sure the lab will be offered there. What he needs is a 6 credit UL course with lab. Any thoughts or ideas of where to look online for a less expensive alternative? All of the credit-by-exams are LL as far as I can tell. I am pretty sure he has already had A&P 1 and 2.

This is the catalog explanation for the course he needs:
OTR 311 - Human Gross Anatomy This foundational science course will provide broad, but detailed knowledge of the structures of the body to provide a basis for understanding their contributions to function. Lectures will be complemented by dissection of a cadaver with emphasis on the neuromuscular system for its application to occupational therapy and occupational performance. Course codes: AFH. Prerequisite: Matriculated in OT program and successful completion of all prior required OT courses. Additional fee required.
Prerequisites & Notes Course codes: AFH. Prerequisite: Matriculated in OT program and successful completion of all prior required OT courses. Additional fee required. Term Cycle: Summer. Typical yearly cycle: All Years. Credits: 6

Thank you!

It seems unlikely any non-OT department would offer a matching course acceptable for transfer by the receiving school, open to visiting students, six semester hours (or even two courses of three each), listed as online (pre-pandemic), offered specifically in summer 2020, and significantly under that price including any lab fees and visiting-student-enrollment-related fees. Meeting all six conditions could be unlikely even from an OT department; I don't think the chances are great. The best search strategy would be to look would be specifically school by school at other accredited OT (not OTA) programs that are active in distance or hybrid learning.

Thank you!  I think he had looked at Liberty, but it was more expensive. I'll check out the other three. Berkeley and UNE look like LL, but Doane looks like an UL. Thanks again!

Thanks. However these are LL and he needs UL. Appreciate the reply though :-)

its confusing to me because I thought Occupational Therapy was taught at the Masters level

so I didn't understand the request for UL courses -- I didn't think that was such a thing as UL in Masters degrees

and even though the course I linked is numbered in the 200's it is from a med school
I figured it was just there way of numbering and didn't designate lower level

He's in a concurrent Bachelor's and Master's program - 5 years total. He's in his 3rd year now and has completed the LL A&P 1 and 2. Now has to do a more in-depth course that is UL for his Bachelor's. Not sure what they will want for his Master's!
