The latter three would likely overlap in most applications with the closely corresponding CLEPs.

For Workplace Communication With Computers, "The content of the examination corresponds with course offerings such as Business Communications, Workplace Communications, Introduction to Communication Technology for Business, and Managerial Communications."

• Each are recommended for 3 semester hours lower-division credit. Each are numbered at the 200 level.
• ECEs offer graded credit, with letter grades A through F (D may not be accepted for credit; F certainly won't; there are no pluses or minuses recorded).
• These four ECEs are $95 each, inclusive. This should cover the testing center with no testing center fee on top of it.
• ECEs offer four multiple choice selections, while CLEPs offer five.
• ECEs rely on one to several textbooks that they identify specifically, while CLEPs sample from a broader, less defined universe of knowledge often included in corresponding courses.
• Official practice exams are available for $25 per test, after prepaying online to take the full test (prepaying gives you a window, I think of 6 months, within which you can subsequently book an appointment to take the test). ECEs are delivered at Pearson VUE testing centers.

Thanks for the information on the ECEs, while I've never taken one, it looks as though the information you've provided is comprehensive. Have you checked out DCAN's wiki? Is there a place for this sort of information?
