Wow, Nap, you're awesome!!!! Thank you SO MUCH for that breakdown :coolgleam: So it looks like I'll need 6 more UL credits than what I'd planned originally?

Westerner,
Doesn't collegeplus get paid to map out your degree plan for you? I would make your college plus coach put in their work (probably just looking up this forum) and earn their "tuition".
CLEPS Passed: 10 DSST Passed: 11 TECEPS: 1

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Yes, it looks like the worst case scenario is capstone course, 6 UL credits of courses, and the second world history course. Best case is just 9 UL course credits (including capstone), if the second part of world history is covered by the Vietnam War DSST.

I have been under the impression that CP only works with TESC.

Thank you Nap! So, that plus the English reqs I have to get, and Info Lit. My other tests would probably fit under their "elective" spot, I'm hoping.
Well I'm not enrolled in CP anymore but I do believe they only work with TESC.

You're welcome!
Be sure to ask EC about the trouble spots.
Feel free to post your whole degree plan and I'd be happy to double-check it for you.

Ok, I've run into a snag. EC requires 30 upper level credits. 18 major-specific and 12 elective, right? TESC requires 18 UL credits, major specific, and they accept more DSSTs as UL. I don't have time to get 12 more UL credits. Looks like I'll have to give up the EC degree for one from TESC, to finish on the path I started :-| But I can still graduate this year if I get the financial aid award in time for the July 2013 term, so that's what I'm praying for. Thanks so much NAP, and everyone who helped and worked with me through this! I hope this thread can help someone else who's considering their options.

Just remember that in order to meet your first criteria of graduating this year you will have to be done by 10/1. That deadline also means you will have to enroll in early June so that you can register for the capstone class starting 7/1 - the registration deadlines are usually around the middle of the prior month.
BA in Natural Sciences/Mathematics, 2013 - TESC - Arnold Fletcher Award
AAS in Applied Computer Studies, 2013 - TESC

32 FEMA Credits
9 ALEKS Credits - Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry
9 Straighterline Credits - Business Communication, Microeconomics, English Composition II
6 TESC Credits - Global Environmental Change

You're welcome!
The extra 12 UL credits - 4 DSST exams - may or may not be as hard to accomplish as you think. Here is a list of your choices:
7 DSST exams in Arts & Sciences â
Civil War - History
Soviet Union - History
Money & Banking
Business Ethics & Society
Criminal Justice
Ethics in America
World Religion
1 ALEKS Stats â 3 UL - if wanted instead of 1 DSST from above
If you decide on a BS instead of a BA, you can choose up to 9 UL credits from Applied Professional. (If you do, I highly recommend the 3 I took.)
5 DSST exams in Applied Professional -
Management Information Systems
Principles of Finance
Substance Abuse
Business Law II
Hereâs to Your Health
There are now some lower-priced ECE's too. You'll need to check on which ones are still UL. Shortened Exams - excelsior.edu
With this list, can you find 4 UL exams to take in addition to the major?
(No pressure. You have to do what is right for you. I'm just making sure you have seen your options.)

Substance Abuse is considered applied professional while Criminal Justice and Money and Banking are not? That's weird.
