Options to finish BALS @ TESU
#1
Hoping someone might be able to help me with the simplest way to complete my BALS at TESU. I've compiled a list of my most recent academic eval, as well as additional Sophia courses I completed that haven't been included yet (included at the  bottom in blue). The outstanding requirements are listed in red. I know I need to take Info Literacy and the LA Capstone through TESU. That leaves me with ~29.35 SH outstanding (once the Sophia courses are added into the eval. Ef anyone knows where those would end up, that would be great!).
Basically, what are my options for the most efficient way to complete the remaining SH: oral comms, civic engagement and Upper Level electives?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE!

Go back to Sophia and do everything that's not Foundations or College Readiness. That will fill out most of your electives and GE electives. I see you've done a lot but you haven't done everything; Public Speaking at Sophia will fill out Oral Communication. Civic engagement is via InstantCert.com instead of Sophia. See https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Ge...egree_Plan

SDC has quite a few UL credits available and Coopersmith has some as well. It really depends on what you want to do. What concentration are you going for?
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Honestly I don't have a specific concentration in mind.

Also, have you done the free TEEX courses: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Fr..._of_Credit ? I see you have some cybersecurity credits there but they don't match up to what other people have reported.

This is how the TEEX courses I took previously are listed on the TEEX Student Portal and on my ACE Transcript (attached)

On the Academic Evaluation those two courses transfer as:
CYB-122 Ethical Aspects of Cyber Security 1.00 SH (in General Electives)
CYB-129 Info System Disaster Recovery 1.00 SH (in Electives)
CYB-128 Cyber Incident and Response 1.00 SH (in Electives)
CYB-121 Legal Aspects of Cyber Security 1.00 SH (in Electives)

I don't know why or how they transferred that way, though!

Interesting. You should have more than 4 credits if you finish all the TEEX courses.

The TEEX difference could have been from when they were taken, and how they were uploaded at ACE as "group" or "individual".

I'm in process of TESU BALS with no concentration. For UL levels, it depends on what you are interested in.
I took a paid ($75) dollar course at TEEX called Death Investigation (online version). 3 UL credits. Came in as AOJ course.
I took 2 courses at Coopersmith: Sports and Exercise Psychology (came in as a Psy course) and Foundations of Stress Management, which also is Psych course at tesu after you help the registrar's office realize what the course number actually is. If they evaluated it as a Counseling course, you have to email and get it fixed. Not a difficult process if you know it's going to happen.
And I took two SDC courses: Industrial Psych, and Advanced Technical Writing. You can see the syllabus and writing requirements for each of those over on SDC site without being logged in or needing an account. It was not overwhelming for me to do those. Mixed and matched with various literature credits I had in lower level with CLEP and community college to round out a mix and match of Humanities and Social Sciences.

and agreeing with rachel about electives and gen ed. Most of the blue courses you listed will fit in there. civics: sophia doesn't work for that.
Some people like to use SDC's Comm 120 Presentational Skills in Workplace to meet TESU's oral comm.
TESU: BALS June 2021 (comm college, clep, sdc sophia coopersmith, SOS110, and capstone)
