This is an interesting read. WGU also only offers degrees that are in demand. You can't get a degree in classical languages or British literature. There's a reason why they're churning out graduates and they're earning more - they're degrees employers are looking for. Sure a bachelor's degree in philosophy could be a lot of fun and thought provoking, but once you graduate what do you do? Unless you spend your free time learning programming languages, hacking, cybersecurity, developing games or apps, what do you do for a job?

This right here is huge:
It takes the average graduate at WGU 2.4 years to finish. It takes others at traditional institutions 5.4 years.

That's a lot of money and time.

This is the first article in a 2 parter. I want to read the second part! HA

Finally a use for 19th century French poetry! Well it's about time!
