Payment plan for tesc
#1
I have checked the site about 5 time this and I can't find what I'm need. Anyone who is starting with tesc on a payment please let me know about the breakdown. I'm not eligible for financial aid and its gonna be out of pocket and I don't have 5k to give. So is there a payment plan for the comprehensive payment option. I'm comparing it to wgu who. Their rep told me that to start, I would need to give about $1500 which I don't have either. Please help. Email is pharaus@yahoo.com

TESC does not have a payment plan. COSC does have a payment plan. I can't remember if Excelsior has one. I don't know why you would need to spend $5000 at TESC. The enrollment fee under the enrolled options plan is $3000 and courses are $229 per credit hour. Are you on the in-state, Comprehensive Tuition Plan? TESC has the new Per Credit Hour Tuition Plan. The cost is higher per credit hour, but you don't have to pay an enrollment fee or thousands of dollars worth of tuition upfront. You can also meet the residency requirement by taking TECEPs which are $36 per credit hour for out-of-state students. You can test out of the rest of your degree, which is a lot cheaper.

You really should work on your credits WHILE you stash away the money needed for enrollment. That can be about a year depending on your speed. I had a few yard sales, did some part time work, put stuff on Craigslist to sell, etc. I'd get the $ then take a test. Repeat. Also, carefully compare the options as Sanantone points out, there are certainly differences depending on the way you earn your degree and where your credits come from.

I didn't think I was eligible for financial aid. Anyone can get an unsubsidized student loan. The only way you can't is if younhave unpaid loans in default. I took out a loan so I could enroll with Tesc before the new requirements. It worked well for me because I needed to just take 6 credits for the semester to be eligible. I took a 6 credit class global environmental change which I really liked. I also took the dsst race to save planet. I took it cold and past it based on learning from my Tesc course. So in a nutshell I took out a loan for 5k which covers the enrollment fee for a year, the 6 credit course and I have money left to take my capstone next spring.

I went to excelsior, they have a payment plan to pay monthly over 5 or 6 months. I think when I enrolled I only paid like 200 out of pocket or something ridiculous like that.
