Hie guys,
What do you guys think about non proctored exams? Do you you think one learns more when exams are proctored or it doesn't matter? just want to have a discussion on this topic!
Kind regards
Big Shay

It depends on more than that. If there's no time limit, if retakes are easy, and it's not proctored some people are going to wing it and just search for answers instead of really learning the material. If there's a time limit, or they can't easily retake the test, then I think folks will have little choice but to study, proctor or no... except for out and out cheaters who have someone else help or take the test for them.
I think most people are going to study and take the test from their knowledge despite the externals, and none of this will make a difference to them.

Personally, I don't study any differently for exams whether they are proctored or not. I want to learn the material and get a good grade either way, so I put the same level of effort into my preparation.
Also, FYI, I deleted the duplicate thread. Please avoid posting the same thread in multiple subforums.

I don't think I've had many non-proctored exams, so I can't really say. Maybe ALEKS (which I used to actually learn some math), and a couple of the free courses.
My PF Financial Management final was non-proctored, and I thought it was very difficult, but didn't cheat, and did all the work myself (because I actually wanted to learn it after spending all that time doing the course).
So for me, I don't think it makes a difference whether it's proctored or not.

the poll is closed? Why?
I don't think I study more or less based on the proctoring, I tend to base it on how many points I need to earn an A.

I too spend a lot of time studying and preparing in the hopes of scoring an A. I don’t even look up the answers when I am attempting practice tests on study.com. So, I guess it all depends on what our values and priorities are.
