SDC Ethics in Social Sciences or Coopersmith Ethics for BALS requirement?
#1
Anyone know if SDC Social Sciences 108: Ethics in the Social Sciences or Coopersmith HCA-200 Ethics for the Health Professions will be accepted for the TESU ethical decisionmaking requirement?

I know the Sophia course is often suggested, but that one seems a lot more philosophy-based, and I'm looking for a recommendation for a friend in the social sciences field. These seem like they might be a little less ponderous than the Sophia course.

I would recommend at least giving Sophia a shot because so many other classes will have to come from Sophia anyway. If there's already an active membership, you might as well take advantage of it. That said, if Sophia weren't an option, I would probably choose SDC over Sophia because your pass/fail isn't solely based on getting a good score on just one test. You've also got the quizzes.

Did you apply it as part of the required psych concentration, or to meet the ethical decision making requirement that is part of the general education LS requirement?

I applied it as part of the Psych. Concentration. But I was told that it may also be used to satisfy the ethics requirement. Another SDC course I might suggest is ‘Ethics in America.’ Not sure if this course is still being offered, and how it transfers into TESU. But in 2018-19, my academic advisor okayed this one too.

If you check out https://study.com/college/school/thomas-...rsity.html then it shows that Ethics in America is still being accepted and that it comes in as PHI-287 Ethics in America. In theory, any Ethics course will do for the gen ed requirement.
