SL credit to what college - not working on a degree
#1
Hello! I am so happy to be back on the forum. Six years ago I lived and died on this board. I finished my BA using loads of CLEPS and then was able to go on to get my Masters in Education. Now I am a full time teacher and loving life. all thanks to this forum!
Soooooo......now I want to earn 21 credit in Math. Yikes! Straighterline looks like a good fit but I have no idea how to go about this since I do not have a college to send the transcripts to. I can select the cheapest college just to use as a clearinghouse for the transcripts, right? if so...which one do you suggest?
Thanks for your help and keep working on your CLEPs and courses...it is worth it!

Is this so you can teach Math? If so I wonder if SL will even work. Even the Big 3 will show on your transcript that the work was done via SL...so who can tell if your employer or the State Board of Ed will even accept the credit.

you can put SL on an ACE transcript, might be a way to do it...again depends on the goal your trying to meet. You could take them via distance at a college that's inexpensive such as the University of Idaho Mathematics-Independent Study in Idaho-University of Idaho At $300/course your only looking at $2000 or so. BYU independent Study or CSU-Pueblo would be a bit more but still pretty affordable...and you would enjoy near universal acceptance of the credit.

If Straighterline is OK and if they have that many Math credits you might be able to just have them send a transcript once your done...again depends on what/who your dealing with.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.
