Second Masters after MBA?

JoshD (from the sister board - I recognized the two degrees in the signature, btw, that's a nice picture of you and the two kids in the avatar... I love children as I have two myself), anyway... you have several options, too many to think of (like laddering them all), but you should focus on three main ones.

1) Get a graduate certificate in what you want to "specialize in", such as Accounting, Finance, whatever it maybe.
2) Get a Masters in that specialization of choice, this will take slightly longer, but you may be able to transfer those MBA credits over if it's in a similar subject.
3) Go for a Ph.D. instead, it's the final frontier of academic education - be like the captain you are and go the distance.

And finally, if you're still a science addict, you may even want to continue onto a Masters in Biology or something interesting. Education is lifelong learning, I wouldn't rush it just for the sake of getting a promotion.

I have considered a PhD but I am not certain I want to limit myself so much. I know there are consulting opportunities but they are few and far between it seems. A friend of mine got a PhD in Cell and Molecular Medicine at Johns Hopkins and he is a management consultant in New York. I like being in Oklahoma! Lol!

To be quite honest, a graduate certificate from Harvard or UPenn may be what I do. I’m not certain I want to dedicate another 2 years to another Masters. Really the only university that intrigues me is Texas A&M University - Commerce.
