Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know the price and time comparison between a BA in Business Administration from UMPI vs Walden.
Assume 90 credits to transfer in mostly from Sophia, SDC, SL, and a few CC credits.
I had already calculated I could do UMPI in two, possibly three sessions. But I've seen/heard Walden has a similar type program.
Any thoughts pro or con? I'm just looking for a general ballpark.
Thanks!

Unless something has changed recently, Walden only allows 50% transfer for its degrees from ACE sources while a further 25% may come from RA sources. If you don't already have at least 30 semester credits, that already significantly increases the cost of Walden. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Co...d_Programs
We have many students who are currently or who have relatively recently graduated from UMPI. I don't think that we have any undergrad Walden grads at the moment. As a result, you'll be able to get much more info about UMPI than Walden right now.

Walden isn't even an option in my state. There's an issue with their finances and they can't offer degrees to residents of NY. Maybe other states as well.

It's hard to say, it all depends on the amount of work each degree offering provides. For UMPI, it's 7 weeks/term for $1400. Walden is 3 months for $2250. If it takes you 2 terms, it's $2800 or 3 terms, it'll be $4200 at UMPI. At Walden, a second term will equate to $4500. It's roughly the same price if it takes you 6 months for both programs...
One more thing to note, if it matters to you, for $300 extra a Walden degree does have the ACBSP advantage. However, for $300 bucks you save, you have a better recognized Public/State university without a slightly tarnished reputation. Walden is a good option, I do highly recommend them for the Masters, but UMPI maybe better for undergrad...

UMPI is 8 weeks/term. Works out to $175/wk.
Walden works out to $188/wk.
If it were my choice to make, I'd do UMPI - better rep (Walden's is not great) and there are a LOT of people on this forum that have completed the program or are currently in it, so we have a TON of feedback. This program is top-notch in my opinion, I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

Typo... and yeah, UMPI for undergrad BABA and Walden, WGU or whatever for your grad... so many options, just have to make your choice on those decisions

If you do decide to do Walden, despite the other options, please, do come back and update us on your walden experience!

I didn't know Walden had that kind of issues -- just looked it up after your comments.
And the credit transfer limit doesn't work for my plan.
Thanks very much for the feedback, I think I'll stick with the UMPI plan.
I'm mid my Sophia courses now thanks to your recommendations!
