Hello there,

This is first time try Shmoop, is all the unit tests open book? The unit test's questions feel little odd, can anyone provide suggestion?

Thanks! Angel

I call it annoying... stupid "Shmoopy" wording and trying so, so hard to be cool for Millenials, I assume. I can't stand Shmoop, but my DS was using it to get cheap credits, only to find out that TESU won't accept them for the forseeable future.

I think it's too risky and have no suggestions about their strange questions and style. If TESU doesn't take them due to some doubts about someone getting credits too quickly, it's a slippery slope IMHO. DS cancelled his account and is working with SL, which is a lot easier to understand and no Shmoopy BS.

Sorry my perspective isn't more positive, just trying to be very honest.

We have found that the "shmoopieness" aka weird questions varies a lot from course to course. Some seemed easier (Media Literacy, History of Technology) and others pretty much unbearable. The latter, we dropped quickly. Most recently, my son gave up on Film Studies, but I read that some people here found that one easy. I guess it depends from person to person. We have taken all of the exams closed book.

I've posted on this before. Their tests are awful. There isn't any one particular way that seems to work consistently. Some courses are easier than others. Just make sure that whatever you choose will be accepted by the college you are transferring to.
