TESU & Davar Academy

Hi.
How good is Davar Academy? Has anyone tried it here? Specifically, how easy/good are their English composition courses? How many written assignments are required? They claim on their website that their courses are specifically tailored to meet the Gen Ed & Language requirements at TESU & COSC.

I will always have a sweet spot in my heart for Davar.  I was working on my BSBA in accounting/CIS last summer when they offered an all-you-eat buffet for $99 for one month.  That was just the greatest month for me and it kind of sent me on my way to several degrees and lots of credits.  Most people here have had little trouble transferring these credits most places, but be aware that Davar is NCCRS credit rather than ACE credit and that makes a difference in some situations.  Also, Davar needs to be looked at mostly as a test out option.  There are just a couple of classes that require papers or videos here.  Davar will not hold your hand in terms of content.  Test takers need to study the material on their own, except for the magic powerpoint that Davar provided for each course.  I give Davar the thumbs up.

I don't remember the specific paper requirements for the English assignments, but I found them comparable to the papers required at other sites.

I took their Information Literacy exam June 2018. I reviewed the syllabus, read the study guide, and practice on the quizzes all in on day. Everything is narrowed down to what you will need to pass the course. I tried my luck and received a passing grade "c".
