Sophia Environmental Science vs. SL Environmental Science

never done Sophia
done a few DSST
always liked the multiple choice questions
I live in NYC -- going somewhere to take the exam is a 3 minute walk to the subway station, a 20 minute subway ride, and a 5 minute walk to the testing center -- simple and convenient --  afterwards I walk across the street, grab a slice of pizza, walk another block and go browse the laptops at BestBuy then go to Barnes & Nobles and drink coffee and flip through the magazines -- its a nice way to spend a Saturday

at least it was a year ago LOL

They need the fastest and easiest to understand. Any tips on studying for these courses if you have taken them?

Thanks so much!

Straighterline is often harder than "real" college courses. Go with Sophia for sure. It's more fun and I learned more from them than any of straighterline's droll classes. I promptly forgot anything I learned at SL because it's such an unpleasant slog, my brain erased the experience.

Thanks for all your advice last month. One of my friends was so excited to finally get her AA degree and has now completed the two Sophia courses she needed for Pierpont! Environmental Science was interesting and very doable with taking notes and working solidly through each module as a chunk (several hours at once worked best for her). She has applied for graduation and is waiting to hear from Nancy as to when that will be approved. Susan sends her thanks to all of you!!
