That is certainly a great model. I wonder if they have plans to release more courses in the next year?

I hope they are! I would definitely be more likely to subscribe if there were more options available.

I agree. They need more courses after these months of freebies.

They added 2 more classes this week so it seems safe to say that they are actively adding courses. Nothing else is on ACE at the moment, but that may change soon - we can hope!

They could offer all the classes they want, they got the money. However they have to worry about cannibalization of their Capella courses.

Quote from the article Fool.com:
"Anyone who registered for a free class prior to August 1st will have the opportunity to buy unlimited access to Sophia for a full year for $149 for that first year. Anyone who had not registered for a free course prior to August 1st will have the opportunity to have unlimited access to Sophia for $79 per month."

Can anyone tell if the 1-credit classes are still free or if you have to sign up for a membership to be able to take them? They look like they're no longer free to me but I may be mistaken.

Edit Reason: Deal expires at the end of August!
)
Sophia is offering $79 for monthly access, but here are some interesting notes on their $149 annual membership:
"$149 Annual Membership:
Buy One, Give One!
Purchase a yearly membership and get one free to give away.
You'll automatically be sent email with a gift code to gift to a friend or family member.
The code is valid for 6 months from the date the yearly membership was purchased."
This deal brings the cost down to $74.50 per student for an entire year of access to all of their 32 courses. That's... exceptional. They've done very good work to open up college to so many students at an affordable price.
Edit: The deal is only available until August 31!

Purchase a one-year Sophia membership for just $149. https://www.sophia.org/special-offer
They are also having a buy one get one special. So if there is more than one person in your family (circle of friends. etc) interested or in need of more credits...
