For anyone who purchased Sophia's yearly membership for $149: when your membership expires, can you renew for an additional year for $149 or do you have to pay $79/month? Thanks!

The $149 year long membership was a one time offer. It was a promotion and not something that is available. You'd move to a monthly $79 membership when your year is over if you wish to keep your account active unless they give you a new promo.

The $149/yr promo was also right around the time they transitioned from their old pricing model ($379/course??) to the current low monthly fee for unlimited courses. I'd be surprised if they offered a promo now that their pricing is so competitive.

I 100% feel that $149 promotion was a big sales grab. They knew they were riding the high and had a lot of media and attention because of COVID, and they were becoming popular fast. With this $149 and the transition to the unlimited model, they were able to get a TON of cash quickly to develop more courses ASAP and now, they did that. They're now by far one of the best alternate credit sources. $79 is a steal compared to Study.com's $200
