My buddy noticed the website stated 113 credits out of 120, I got a friend in the miilitary who is looking to transfer all his sophia credit which is 128 credits.
He didnt take any previous college credit prior to doing Sophia, and doesnt have any Study.com or Straighterline credit.
I believe he is looking into Bachelors of Professional Studies in Business and Management. I tried looking at the catalog and but it was a little confusing to navigate and match up what classes align to the sophia transfer equivilancy sheet.

Wow that second sheet is much easier to read lol. I can see that, I was entirely lost trying to help him look through the degree catalogs.
I recommended UMPI since they offer similar degrees and may be quicker but he was pretty dead set on excelsior since he likes the structure.
Thank you!!

As another option, you can tell him about TESU, as it'll require 6 credits instead of 7, and it's one less class to take at the institution, he can transfer in 114 credits. He can try to get those Sophia.org credits, but I don't think it'll hit up that 113 number for the Bachelors...

Interesting, The website only states 90 on the website, but I was reading on the wiki about paying a residency waiver?

TESU's transfer credit caps of 90 are specifically for credit from community college or from non-collegiate providers (e.g., alt-credit). They do not limit transfer credit from accredited institutions higher than the community college level. (Now that many institutions still titled community colleges are accredited to offer bachelor's degrees, you might confirm with TESU whether they consider them community colleges for the purpose of this rule if it affects you.)

It really depends on how he wants to play his cards, TESU can be potentially, cheaper, easier, faster if he decides to use TECEPs and a flat-rate tuition of 5 classes, thus completing the required - 30 RA credits. I would do a spreadsheet and compare the two degrees at Excelsior and TESU, see what classes can transfer into both degrees and complete those first (as it will transfer to either anyways) decide before or when you're about done with the max 90 credits transfer...

I created an excel for my buddy following all the credits he would need at TESU. He is going tesu route instead.
You, levelUP, johnathan whatley and jgnuy always have the answers I need. Always big thank you.
