I have requested info from them and they will not send anything unless I speak to them on the phone. They've emailed me dozens of times and call me multiple times a day. It's a HORRIBLE sales pitch! Just email a brochure. I don't want the used car sales approach. I just want to see the courses and descriptions. Neither of which is on the website. I find this to be a HUGE turnoff. I can't imagine I'm the only one.
To be honest I deal with Dr. Patrick directly. I reach out to him on his personal cell; I know he have an assistance and there should be a form of chain of command but sometimes she can be very pushy and want to force the application down your throat. From personal experience Dr Patrick is super down to earth and he will have an hour up to 2 hour conversation with you on the phone and answer any questions and disclose everything.

Nonetheless it will be between the South College program and the DHA

Good for you I guess? Most people don't have access to him. the rest of us are stuck dealing with enrollment specialists which are the used car sales people of the 2020's. Some of us don't want to talk to anyone. We just want information. Most schools provide basic info such as the course names and descriptions on their website. WGU even has this info on their website. There are very schools I would contact for course info. South College isn't one of them. Not after seeing the problems students are having. If people paying money can't get prompt answers, what can one who hasn't paid a dime expect? Not much.

At the very least, you can use me as a ray of light to show that there are those who can successfully complete this program. I believe I can reflect on that and share my experiences in that way, and if I encounter any difficulties, I'll make sure to let everyone know so that people who follow us can benefit from the information we've gathered. Don't you agree? yes? If you have read my recent rant about UMASS Global you know I will not hold back on my reviews.

But you haven't completed the EdD or DBA. No one has completed the EdD yet and the DBA starts in October. Some of your issues with UMass Global were out there. I didn't have a similar experience at all with them. 7-10 days to process an application is pretty fast. It's much longer at many schools. They have to wait for all transcripts to be received. They have hundreds of students to manage. Financial aid also usually takes longer than 7-10 days. They have to work with the government to package financial aid and the government is not known for their speed. All I am looking for is info on a program and SC doesn't make it available without dealing with sales people. Not interested in sales people. My time has value and rarely do those sales people know much about the programs they're peddling.

Doctor of Business Assessment Design

Summative Assessments:
Each course is comprised of 5-7 summative assessments. The summative assessments combine a
student’s experience and knowledge with practical assessments that are designed to ensure the students
demonstrate competency in particular areas. These assessments are not routine assessments but are
uniquely designed to be more practical in nature. This allows the students to demonstrate their knowledge
of theory and practice, and to utilize the new, existing knowledge to demonstrate mastery over a
competency. Summative Assessments will differ. Examples of summative assessments include (but are
not limited to) Case Study, SWOT Analysis, Communication Plan, etc.
Each student must demonstrate “mastery” on the 5-tiered rubric on every assessment in order to pass the
overall assessment. If a student does not earn “mastery” on 1 or more aspects, the student is allowed
additional attempts to revise and resubmit their assessment based off the Faculty Mentor’s feedback.
Once “mastery” is achieved on the rubric, the student will then move next assessment to work. This will
continue until all assessments have been successful marked as “mastered” by the Faculty Mentor.  Once
all have been marked as “mastered”, the student will earn an A in the course.
Formative Assessments:
Formative Assessments are an informal evaluation by the Faculty Mentor of the student’s progress and
work towards the Summative Assessment. These are conducted through a 1 to 1
communication/evaluation system in the learning platform. Students will continue dialoging with the
Faculty Mentor, until the Faculty Mentor “affirms” the student’s Formative Assessment. This allows the
student to progress to the next Formative or Summative Assessment within the course.
Dissertation:
The dissertation at South College is similar, yet different, than other traditional dissertations. Students
will be required to choose a topic and complete a standard 5-chapter dissertation. The length of the
dissertations are typically anywhere from 100-150 pages, depending on the student’s topic and design of
the dissertation. Students are free to use either qualitative and quantitative methodology to complete the
dissertation.
The difference is in the data that is being analyzed. Students will only be allowed to use existing data sets,
which will allow the students to fall under the “Exempt” status by the IRB.  This was decision was made
to help reduce the time that students would typically spend in gaining site/participant approval, and the
time of conducting the live research. Typically, this should save the students 3-4 months in the
dissertation journey, helping them earn their degree faster than other doctoral programs.

On another note, I will be applying on Monday for the South College DBA program Oct start. They will have it in the enrollment system then.

I will certainly post if it proves to be good or bad and most likely some of both and a lot of in between. Unless the courses prove to be stupid difficult, I tend not to complain too much when faced with moderate level of difficulty, just dig in instead. I believe that university should challenge us and the learning is as important as the degree. I did graduate with a 4.0 in my HAU MBA and know the fellow students that are tracking with me getting A's have worked hard as well. No question I could have passed everything and knocked off easily a third of my study and assignment efforts, but then I would have only been cheating myself. I also have a bit of ADHD and the grind of busywork is truly, truly more painful than the actual work itself.

What are you even talking about? You have completed program at SC either! I have repeated asked them for information and they will not send it unless I speak on the phone with them. I do not speak negatively about every program. Not even close. My personal experience with SC has been a negative experience. I have posted numerous times about others programs and wasn't negative about them at all. I've completed multiple degrees since joining this forum and am currently working on 2 more. So apparently I completed a degree program. Yeah the UMPI info on here all started because of me. There's no winning with people like you. I was dragged through the mud for going on about how great UMPI is and now you're complaining that I'm not an SC cheerleader. I also didn't have anything negative to say about UMass Global. YOU did! I didn't have any complaints at all about my UMass Global experience. The program just wasn't what I was looking for.

So everyone gets an A? You either get an A or don't complete the course from the way this is described. No one gets a B ever. Weird. You get to keep editing your papers until the rubric is marked as mastered? This seems really odd for graduate work.
