It took about 1 1/2 week to finish it and that was with breaks in between, I believe you could finish this course in a week. They were pretty quick with the grading assignments. It only took 3 days at most. I was able to submit 3 assignments (touchstone 1.1, 2.1, and 3.1) at the same time. The speaking portion wasn't that bad and if you are having trouble I used google translate in my ear to help me pronounce the words at little bit better but also practice if you are taking your time. The writing portion takes less than 10 minutes and you can use that assignment for the oral part. I highly recommend this over IC and study.com if you have a hard time learning languages.

Awesome! Thanks for the testimonial! Wow, sounds like a great option other than what we currently have. I'm going to have to renew my membership just to try this out! I am basically waiting for "more" courses so I can take them while I take this...

Just Duolingo...but most of the answers are in the text and the answers were pretty easy to find. I had a very hard time with IC and study.com. Sophia is definitely beginner level. IC and study.com is more intermediate.

So I have been taking Spanish since it started last week. To be honest, with working strange hours, also having some video and photo editing to do from my wedding business and spending a little time with the wife, I finally did my first touch stone and passed with a 50/50. To let you know, I complete all quizzes and Milestones last week. All left were touchstones and finals. I had some time to do one, which was super easy. I only did that one to see how they would grade. Now I'll go ahead and do the other written ones and the video/audio ones and boom. I'll update this post when I'm done. I have to finish these last batches of photos.

Good info! I’m considering this course. Do you have any prior Spanish?

I took Spanish 1 in high school some 20 years ago. I know how to count to 99 and a few words I can recommend I've but other than that I'm not good at all. The info is good and it's more info online that can help. Definely use the quizzes to your advantage. Everyone says it's bad because of touchstones. I'm in no rush to take it and I always keep one class open that doesn't have touchstones so I can work while I wait.

I may try this. I used Duolingo to and I think it spoiled my ability to really learn from IC. I would love to pick up credits for Spanish before law school though, in case there is any chance of being accepted into a dual law degree program from Mexico.

It was fairly challenging for me and it took about a month mostly because of the Touchstones. It took about 5 days between TS to be returned so that I could submit the next. I went into it just praying to get a 70% and I ended up with an 88%. With IC Spanish being cancelled I think this is the best option for a quick Spanish 1 course.
