Stanford Medical Statistics Certificate

Tuition is a very affordable $299 for 365 days of access and an extra $75 one time document fee.
There are only 3 courses to take, it's cheaper and you get more time doing the $299 vs $129 per course option.

It is probably one of a very few that are offered so cheaply at Stanford compared to their other grad certs.
That is most likely because this certificate only grants 2 CEU's and can't be laddered into a grad degree/diploma.

Note: I wonder if this cert will get you Alumni Status and also an email address from Stanford?
I think it will be well worth it if it does!  I wouldn't mind paying just to have a non expiring email/alumni status.
I don't think you can get alumni status.
*To be considered an alum of Stanford, you must have completed a minimum of three academic quarters as a matriculated, degree-seeking student in a degree-granting program at Stanford.
Certificate holders can join the alumni affiliate membership. But
Please note: Affiliate membership does not provide access to some regional events, most alumni clubs, the alumni directory, the alumni job board or @alumni.stanford.edu email addresses.

Emailed them and confirmed you don't get alumni status unfortunately.

Thank you for reaching out. Alumni status for Stanford University is granted to those who were matriculated students and have graduated from a degree program. As the Stanford Medical Statistics Certificate Program is considered professional education, the coursework is classified as nonacademic and will not qualify participants for alumni status. However, there are different types of memberships that are offered.  There is one for Alumni and another listed as an  Affiliate Membership which is similar to an Alumni membership, with the exception of certain benefits the University reserves for Alumni.

Hi I'm a medical doctor who will be commencing a PhD soon.

I'm just looking for a course which would allow me to do my own stats (Propensity score matching, Meta analyses, etc). Does anyone know if this course is good for any of that?
