Has anyone taken this course using an earlier edition textbook and passed, or is it necessary to buy the latest textbook?

The EC book will not get you through the SL course, I tried it and was not a good outcome. I would definitely suggest you use the actual book reccommended by SL.

I would recommend that you use the book specified on SL but if you plan to complete the course quickly I would recommend you rent your textbook. It is a cheaper alternative to puchasing it. You could use a previous edition and buy it used, as most of these types of books don't change too much from one edition to the next. Usually just pictures and references change. I would check Amazon or Ebay for used copies or see about renting the text at a place like Chegg or similar. Good luck!

I used the book to do A&P I and II in a week. Hindsight being 20/20, I think a number of other books from the library would have worked just as well. I wasn't sure of my ability in these courses and didn't want to take a chance.
I tranfered 15 courses to TESC today and canceled my membership. Great resource.
