Straighterline final exam
#1
I have a 95% average in my QUIZES and midterm.  But that only around 650 in points.  If you average my QUIZES, midterm and “0” for a final I still pass the % grade with like a 87% but that will not give me 700 points out of 1000.  So which is important %score or total points?

Quote:At the end of each course, students will receive the number of points earned. The grade you see in your course is calculated by dividing the total amount of points you have achieved by the total amount of points available in the course (typically 1,000).

Welcome to the forum!

Something is off with your math.

If you have 650 points, then you need 50 out of 300 points or 16.66% on the final to pass with a 70%.

Which course are you talking about?

Just make sure to do well above the 50% for the final exam and you'll be good to pass, you just need the 17% or so on the final to get a 70+. I usually recommend to try and get a better % overall, just in case you want to go to COSC or UMASS as they need 80% and 81.5% respectively.
