Study.com - Any New Business Courses Coming Soon?

dfrecore Wrote:They don't.

Ah, ok - I thought their "Accounting 2" would suffice for that - it works for WGU's transfer requirements.

I would recommend any other Business Courses not offered by your competitors.
Or higher level courses that are 300-400 level, so the cost ratio is cheaper.

I think that course is only available at CSU-Global or PF. So not the cheapest way to get a course. I think adding some accounting courses would be a good way to go. There are plenty of people here who want an accounting degree where Intermediate Accounting I & II are required. Since Study.com already has a couple of UL Accounting courses, adding more would kind of already fit with what they're doing there.

I suggested this for people who do not want to take this course through something like Penn Foster. I wanted to take it at my Local CC but they are being very strict to let me sign up for it. They wont recognize SL Intermediate Accounting I as the pre-req to their course. I really don't want to take this through PF or other random providers. I feel like I will have the same issues taking it at a State College also. Right now PF 300$ course is my best option but Study.com $70 additional exam would be way way way cheaper. Even if I had to add another month of study.com I'd just take a course from study.com that I was planning on taking through SL.

Also SL doesn't offer Intermediate Accounting II, Accounting I and Accounting II come into TESU as Financial/Managerial Accounting.

Study.com Wrote:That’s a great question! We do have several courses slated to be reviewed in the coming months, and a few are in the business and finance areas. We’re constantly getting more courses recommended by ACE, so if there are additional courses you’d like for us to develop and have reviewed, please send along the course names.

We’re also working on finalizing the transfer guide with Thomas Edison now; it’s taking a little longer than we anticipated, but we’re hoping to have it up soon.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!

Please, please, please SOS-450 Ethics in the Social Sciences. It would save people about $1400 if you had this class.

So are SL's Accounting 2 and Managerial Accounting pretty much the same thing?

At TESU only, SL's Accounting 2 comes in as ACC-102 Managerial Accounting, and their Managerial Accounting comes in as ACC-303 Cost Accounting.

Hmm, yes they do and no it's not complete. They've got a basic transfer guide available for use...
Not all courses are going to be shown as they're not evaluated yet.
You will still need to "get WGU" to approve courses when you transfer them.
