I'm always open to advice, fellow user.
I went to a doctor years ago, and they said the fatigue might be due to a blood issue. He really couldn't help much.

I would definitely get a second opinion if you can. That doctor doesn't sound very useful.

According to that article, it's either stress or depression.
Interesting...

Stress can REALLY mess with your head and your body. Have you seen a doctor recently about this?

Interesting... and those two are intimately related

Nope, didn't really understand how stressed out I was until this summer break.

Update: ate something hearty (pasta) and am finally noticing a difference. It's not as severe as before, but I actually feel like I could absorb some information.
On that note, what are you guys' preferred snacks that aren't high in sodium/carbs?

Carbs aren't the enemy, IMO, sugar is. Too much sugar can sometimes be inflammatory, which can exacerbate your body's stress response. The problem is that so many foods in the US are just loaded with sugar, even when they don't have to be. So, you cut out carbs and you automatically feel better, then you attribute that to the lack of carbs when it may just be the lack of simple sugars. Italians generally live long and healthy lives absolutely full of carbs, but very little added sugar!
I would say to try eating a baked potato as a snack. Plain, maybe with some Mrs. Dash or a small amount of butter. Potatoes are aren't a complete food, but they have more potassium than bananas and lots of essential amino acids. Amino acids make proteins and potassium is both super important and can be lacking in the average diet.

Drinking peppermint tea. It helps me with brain fog and concentration. I don't know if it's just because it's warm and smells good, but it relaxes me enough where I'm comfortable reading or listening to course work.
