I am curious too. I prepare taxes everyday for a living and I am taking the class at TESC right now. The exams are really hard. I don't know how I would pass if I didn't have background in tax. So I am assuming the TECEP is really hard.

I just took the test today. It was pretty hard. The problems were not anything like the sample problems that TESC has on their website. The sample problems on the website made it look like there would be 7 questions worth 10 pts a piece when in reality the 7 problems actually had about 5 questions each. So it was like 35 problems worth 2 pts a piece. Also, for the problems you had to do a lot of writing for your answers. The sample questions were more like computational problems. I'm not really sure how I did. If it hadn't been an open book test I wouldn't even have had a chance. In a lot of the problems they threw a lot of different variables at you that made it hard to find the specific situation in the book.

I took the Federal Income Tax TECEP on May 7th and got my score in the mail on June 4th. Since they only listed "CR" for credit, I really don't know how well I did other than the fact I passed. It was an open book test. Even though the majority of the test focused on tax rules, there were some basic accounting concepts that were required on a few of the questions.
