TES-100 and Residency
#1
Question
I apologize if this has been answered, but I was not able to find a definitive response. I know the TES-100 Cornerstone requirement is being transitioned to a SOS-110 requirement in a few months, but does TES-100 as it currently stands count 1 credit toward residency at TESU?

The residency waiver is an alternative to those who do not earn at least 16 credits via the University’s Online (OL), Guided Study (GS) or e-Pack (EP) courses before they complete their degree (which is an odd number when dealing with mostly 3 credit courses), but TES-100 is listed as TES-100-SD or a Self-Directed course. Does this make it in a separate category and therefore ineligible to count towards those 16 credits?

If it doesn't count, do most people who do not want to pay for the waiver just take 18 credits, pay for the comprehensive plan, or is there a better 1 credit alternative that counts? Thanks!

Does that 1 credit count towards residency? I know TECEPs no longer do, but still enroll you.

Yes, it's considered a course and courses count toward residency.
