Sorry for sounding hesitant still, and please let me know if I'm celebrating early (because I can think of one reason at least why I'll run into delays), but I checked into the last work I had to submit for my ENC102 class/undergrad work (which I noted before made up 60% of the grade you can earn, making it possible to get everything done and still flunk out), and saw that I got 91.25% on it, earning me a 94% in the class overall (while reminding me of a post I read on here about just how challenging 100 and 200 level courses can be).
And so with that my undergrad's chapter is closed and now I have to decide where to go and what to do; I originally signed into InstaCert for help with Ethics in America but ultimately stuck by the DegreeForum, uh, fora, as all I cared for was to complete my degree ASAP and commission into the Air Force (hence my username), especially as Officer Training School is back to accepting even degrees in Basket Weaving again (and please, please don't tell me that's an actual thing). What I found here was not only wisdom and guidance, which lead me to start and finish with TESC ultimately, but also the most wonderfully supportive community I have ever been in on the internet (no exaggeration).
At the same time, speaking with various commanders (some prior enlisted) and SNCOs made it clear that I should consider finishing my graduate work now, instead of being immensely under pressure once commissioned. Not only will it improve my chances of acceptance, but certain programs allow me a direct commission into a higher rank. As well, I really love my current job, and neither increased rank nor pay is enough to pull me away from it.
In any case, I still have a lot of options available and I will still turn to you all for guidance, as I'm only here today because of many of you. I'll happily thank the individuals I'm grateful for, but for now I'll keep it simple: thank you all. From the bottom of this Airman's heart, thank you.
PS - As to why I'm still hesitant there's a) the issue of my credits not being "earned" yet within Academic Evaluation, as the grade cut-off for submission is 6 March 2015, and b) I've noticed delays in TESC processing courses paid for by military Tuition Assistance. This is all a waiting game now though, so as far as I'm concerned I'm going to enjoy my base getting shut down by the snow and playing videogames till dusk.
