Thanks Allvia, I can take the below-mentioned courses to satisfy the requirement

Computer Science 303: Database Management
Business 303: Management Information Systems
Business 309: Digital Marketing & Advertising

You will need 4 UL courses to equal the 12 UL you need to bring in (total BSBA UL is 15, but 3 of those 15 is the Capstone). Did you already taken something that fits into the first 3 credit UL AOS?

I did Software Engineering & SAD but it is LL. I need to take the remaining courses approved by TESU

The following Study.com courses are approved: Computer Science 302, Business 303 and Business 309 (CIS-311/CIS-301/MAR-441), respectively).

Looks like they are saying you can take the UL SAD (CS:302), MIS (BUS:303), and Digital Marketing (BUS:309) at SDC for 9UL credits.

What about CS: 303 Database Management at SDC for the last UL course? Will they approve that for the CIS AOS? If so, that should cover the 12 UL required courses.

I did ask for it but they said only approved courses are Computer Science 302, Business 303 and Business 309 (CIS-311/CIS-301/MAR-441), respectively).

I think CS 303 is not approved.

Will TESU accept the below-mentioned courses?

Computer Science 302: Systems Analysis & Design
 Business 303: Management Information Systems
Business 309: Digital Marketing & Advertising

Maybe ask again for clarification on SDC's CS 302/303 (Systems Analysis and Design/Database Management).

Database Management is listed on the BSBA CIS as a suggested elective. It should transfer in as CIS-311. Maybe the adviser mixed up course numbers.

Computer Science 302 at SDC is Systems Analysis and Design and should transfer to TESU as CIS-320. Computer Science 303 at SDC is Database Management and should transfer as CIS-311.

It isn't a new course. But yes, you'd think that Project Management would work in BSBA CIS. However, it doesn't fit into the AOS and only comes in as elective credit.

I tried to appeal this with TESU last year given that project management is important to being successful in CIS/CS/IT, but the dean of the school didn't agree. It's too bad since I think project management is a useful skill to know for anyone doing anything related to technology or engineering, particularly if it relates to development.

That's what I just said, but I was probably unclear in what I meant to convey.
Quote:Computer Science 302 at SDC is Systems Analysis and Design and should transfer to TESU as CIS-320. Computer Science 303 at SDC is Database Management and should transfer as CIS-311.

The adviser said...
Quote:...only approved courses are Computer Science 302, Business 303 and Business 309 (CIS-311/CIS-301/MAR-441), respectively...

The adviser was definitely not clear since SDC's CS 302 is not TESU's CIS-311 equivalent course, and SDC's CS 303 is TESU's CIS-311 equivalent course. I am thinking perhaps the adviser just mixed up the course name/numbers/equivalencies. Hopefully that is the case, and not that Database Management is no longer approved for the AOS at least lol

I agree. I would be less surprised to see it as a required course than I am to see it not even allowed as an elective option.

Project Management is accepted for credit as a general elective option, but that doesn't help the OP who was looking for UL options for the AOS.

Personally, I think it is a mistake for TESU not to at least accept project management as an AOS elective for the CS and CIS programs. It really should be a required part of the degree plan for a BSBA CIS like it is for the BSIT degree.

Sorry, yes, I was referring to the AOS elective when I said "elective option" as well. I know it can be used as a general elective, but the topic has been on locating elective options for the BSBA CIS AOS electives category, so I thought it was clear without adding AOS again. Sorry for the confusion.

I absolutely agree. In my opinion it should be required as it is with the BSIT. That's what makes it so surprising that its not allowed as an AOS elective.

For BSBA CIS you are required to take Systems Analysis & Design UL so you would need 9 more UL

These are your choices:
Computer Science 303: Database Management
Business 303: Management Information Systems
Business 309: Digital Marketing & Advertising
Network Technology CMP-354 TECEP exam (confirmed approval)

For LL I assume you can folllow their guide and take courses such as:
Data Structures
Operating Systems

Also, any programming languages will work: (confirmed approval)
C
C++
Java
Python
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience:  CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

Thanks, I already transferred Systems Analysis & Design (LL). Will they allow one more SAD UL course? Will they accept MIS from Davar Academy.

They should accept the UL SDC Systems Analysis & Design course in addition to the LL Systems Analysis & Design already on your evaluation.

The LL SAD course you already took was TESU's CIS-221 equivalent. The SDC SAD course is TESU's CIS-320 equivalent, so it will not duplicate what you already completed. It should also meet one of your UL AOS requirements for the BSBA CIS.

The Davar/TESU Transfer agreement still shows their MIS course as transferring into TESU as UL, but this is outdated and no longer correct. TESU will accept the course but it will transfer as LL MIS course now. I think Davar just has not updated their page to reflect the correct TESU equivalency.

Since you need UL CIS electives, it would probably be best to take the SDC MIS course since we know TESU will transfer that in as UL MIS.
