Did anyone else notice this?

Ew. TESU is becoming more like COSC. At least it's just a one-credit course for $300 and not a three-credit course for $1,000. I can understand where they're coming from, though. They're probably worried about graduation rates since they're open enrollment.

I just found it by coincidence while coming up with an AA plan for a buddy of mine. Bummer.

It makes sense, like you said, if they're worried about graduation rates or whatever, but maybe they should waive it if you can prove a history of competence elsewhere through credit transfer? I don't know. Just thinking out loud.

I think they should waive it if you have already successfully completed online courses or if you already have English Comp I and II completed. They could even offer a pre-admissions test like WGU, but make you take the cornerstone if you fail rather than deny admission.

Seems like a perfectly reasonable option to me. I couldn't/wouldn't argue against the logic for a setup like that.

But a blanket requirement, like COSC and I assume this new course at TESU, seems gross.

That's a shame, but maybe it'll be applied to Electives?
Also, May 25th? I somehow had the impression that they usually changed the rules/prices in July??

Well, they're changing tuition rates in April. They're all over the place.

June is the typical time of change, though really they can change many things at any time at their discretion. So I guess the end of May leading in to June isn't too crazy, but a random Wednesday does seem weird.

Usually, the changes coincide with catalog changes. They normally start a new catalog on July 1st.
