I didn't send TESU a full degree map, but I did send them a map of the AOS courses I planned to take in order to pre-plan them and avoid wasting time on any UL courses I didn't absolutely need. Since it was a small enough list, I didn't have any issues there.
Sending a map of the GenEd's might have been prudent for me since I did end up with some issues there and almost ended shy 1 credit to graduate before I moved things around to make them fit properly. In the end, I made it work but ended up with 1.67 sh in my "Other courses" area.

I can't claim credit for that idea. Someone else on here (can't remember who) talked about sending them a map to guide TESU on where they wished their credits to be placed. At the very least it creates automatic reference points to ask questions on. "Why did you map x to z instead of x to y?". There has to be some structure/rationale behind credit assignment/mapping at TESU. It can't be just based on the adviser's mood that day and whether or not they flipped heads or tails with the "advisement coin". There has to be some method to the madness.
Before I found this forum I paid someone named Jay Cross for information. He said that you should mail your degree plan to the college you want to go to before you even begin or become a student and have them "approve the plan". I think he was talking about Excelsior because I can't even get TESU to confirm anything via email, their response every time is that I need to be a current student to receive any sort of advising. I will do my Academic Eval in the next week or two. I will still try to submit a map to them.
