TESU Plan Help BSBA-HR
#1
I'm very new to the forums and am having trouble navigating the degree requirements. I am hoping for advice on what courses I should test out of. I am open to doing up to 36 credits at TESU but would like to test out of as much as possible.
I'm planning to attend TESU for the BSBA in HR.
I will be applying next year with an Associates degree and these classes completed.

Composition I 3
Composition II 3
Contemporary World Issues 3
Music Appreciation 3
US History to 1877 3
US History Since 1877 3
Environmental Science 4
Human Biology 4
Public Speaking 3
Principles of Macroeconomics 3
Principles of Microeconomics 3
Statistics 3
Psychology 3
Introduction to Ethics 3
Introduction to Business 3

ALEKS Intermediate Algebra
ALEKS College Algebra
CLEP Humanities
CLEP Analyzing & Interpreting Literature
CLEP Principles of Management
CLEP Principles of Marketing

I know I'm asking a lot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a degree plan.  There are a few things that might be wrong:
1) Contemporary World Issues might meet the Diversity requirement, so you'll need an eval to see if it will
2) I put the CLEP Humanities and A&I Literature as 3cr courses, but one or both might be 6cr, which would change your Gen Ed Electives to possibly be completed

You can test out of the entire rest of the degree except the capstone course.

I would suggest that you sign up with Study.com, and then apply to TESU with the Study.com affiliate membership; it will give you a waiver on the cornerstone course ($300 savings), a discount on the residency waiver ($700 off) and a discount on your capstone ($399 savings).

If you like Study.com, you could take all of your remaining courses through them except for 1 of the required courses which is only available through CSU-Global.  Otherwise, you can take the courses a variety of ways, which are listed on the spreadsheet.

You can also apply for the Guardian/Study.com scholarship, which would give you 6 free courses over 3 months; Personal Finance is required and would go as a Free Elective, but the other 5 courses could be anything you wanted.

Good luck!

I'd just like to add to what dfrecore has mentioned. If you are taking an AA, please finish that at a community college.
If you get the AA at TESU, it'll be a bit more expensive, unless you are getting the AA at the same time as your BSBA HR.

Further to that, I suggest you continue CLEP and check out ModernStates.org to see which ones you can do for FREE.
That should save your extra cash on top of what dfrecore has mentioned. Good luck with your educational journey.

Lastly, I would really apply for the Study.com scholarship ASAP, then figure out which 5 courses you need that's not offered elsewhere for cheap. Generally the UL courses, check their transfer tab: http://study.com/directory/school/Thomas...rsity.html

Thank you so much for this advice. Modern States has paid for 4 CLEPs for me so far. They have been a great help. I plan to take advantage for as long as they will allow me to. I am finishing my AA at a community college because tuition was so much less. I will apply for the scholarship immediately. I'm hoping I get it. Do they usually give out a lot?
