Test scores for Clep/Dsst

I have been browsing the forum long enough but would like to know about the test scoring.
I had my transcripts reviewed by EC and am ready to go.

Do you only need a score of 50% to pass? ie 50 out of 100..or 60 out of 120 for the Clep and Dsst tests?

I've been doing several practice petersons where I have been scoring around 50-55% for several of the different subjects just going at it cold without studying (only to see if I was capable)

Generally speaking, around 50% will give you a passing score. It depends on the particular test. However, I currently coach students taking these exams and we require they score 60% or higher to ensure a passing score. That would give you some room for the differences in practice and real scores--and it's not that hard to get 60%.

I know there is a very good post somewhere on this forum with a breakdown of what is needed to pass a test. I'm sure you could find it with a little searching.
