The best material(s) to study to ensure I past the principles of marketing clep??
#1
Also Can someone recommend how long I should study this material for before I take the exam. At first glance it's not the material that scares me or at least what I've seen so far. What scares me is not knowing a question on the exam because I didn't study the right material.

Any past study regimens that were used to successfully pass this exam recently - Please share.

Thank You

So what if you don't know an answer to a question? Expect to miss some. Or more than some. You need C- level competency to pass. You can miss quite a few.

No one can tell you how long to study. Everybody is different. Do you have the official CLEP study guide book? If you can do well on the practice test in that book, it would be a good sign.

Also, this is one of the easiest CLEP exams - it's pretty much all vocabulary.

I grabbed "Basic Marketing", wrote out a bunch of flashcards, drilled, drilled, drilled, and I scored a 75. That was my first CLEP - it's just memorization.

Go crush it!

If you're into reading stuff, I'd suggest checking out the Principles of Marketing REA guide. All of the information is written in a very concise format and it comes with a few extra practice tests as well. While it may cost $30 new on Amazon, you can usually get it for $10 or less used (or cheaper for the older black and yellow cover version). https://www.amazon.com/CLEP%C2%AE-Princi...+marketing

Some people find using the REA book to be sufficient, other people find using the InstantCert flashcards to be sufficient, I'd suggest using both if you want to feel comfortable.

Best source to study from that you would recommend; books for example? I asked zapproximator  about the basic marketing book he was referring to. I'm still waiting to hear back. I did check check out his site where he had did Flash cards on the topic. That was definitely helpful.

Also check and see if Modern States offers a prep course for it. If they do, they'll pay for your CLEP after you pass their practice test. http://modernstates.org
