Hi,
I was about to pull the trigger on the ALEKS College Algebra course when I saw that according to ACE that version two expires 1/31/2017. I don't think I can finish the course in three weeks. Should I wait until February to see if they get a version 3 (or extension) before I start?

The courses are very doable in three weeks. I did college algebra in about 5 hours (I'm not a good math person)
There is no guarantee that there will be a "version 3." If it were me, I'd hunker down and do it asap.

Ok, thanks for the input! I went ahead and registered. I'm scouring the forum now for tactics, and also getting myself psyched up for Math!

Unlike jsd, there is no way I could do the whole class inside a month - but if you're mathy, go for it! I have emailed them REPEATEDLY and rec'd nothing back. I have no idea if they'll extend past 1/31/17

It's been years but I did manage to do beginning algebra / intermed. / college in 1 month. Now I got over 70% on beginning and it was a nice refresher, intermediate took me about 1 week and 2 weeks for college algebra. Tried to squeeze in stats but that didn't work out
It's possible for even the non math types, if you just plug away every night.

Yes, I am doing the assessment right now. I'm starting to remember those things that I've forgotten but a couple of Khan Academy videos and reverse engineering "answers" from websites gets me in the right direction. I'm taking my time with the assessment, and then planning on spending an hour a night to get it done. Thanks for the input!

I hope they extend, it's a great option for degree seekers.

We hope so too. Shmoop has several math classes but they are much more cumbersome than ALEKS.
