Thanks, jsd. That's too bad, I was thinking that one could improve the GPA by adding more CC credits.

You absolutely can - assuming that you get good grades on your classes.

Whenever you take graded courses, they are calculated into a GPA somewhere. So, if you had a bunch of credits at School A, you would have a GPA there. Then any courses taken at School B would have a GPA. If you transferred them to TESU, the GPA's of Schools A & B don't go away - they are still sitting there at those schools. TESU will not bring in the GPA - they only give a GPA for courses taken at their own school. If you then take a course at TESU, you will have a GPA there as well.

I have GPA's at 4 schools myself, with nothing at TESU.

Thanks dfrecore, I remember seeing a discussion thread about the importance of the GPA when it comes to a graduate admission. What would they say if they receive multiple transcripts from CC's ?

Nothing. They will just review all the transcripts and calculate a GPA from them. The importance of a GPA varies a lot. If you have lots of work experience, it may matter very little.

It completely depends on the school. Some care more than others about GPA (some don't care at all). Some will care that you don't have a GPA or a certain number of credits at a 4-yr college, some won't. The actual number of CC's you went to is not an issue.

Does anyone know if the concentration selected for the liberal studies major is listed on the transcript as part of the BA program, or is it listed as part of a separately earned certificate? For example, BA Liberal Studies with a concentration in computer science. For my HR, a separate certificate in CS is worth a doughnut.
