Way to review one of the 4 Exams?
#1
Hello,

I'm taking the American Gov't course, and just finished 1 of the 4 mini exams. I know it give you the % score, but how do you see which ones you had wrong? I'm hoping you don't say it doesn't show, as that is truly a waste of money and course hours.

Currently, there is no way to review your answers. However, I would not say it is "truly" a waste of money nor course hours! You only pay $20 (plus $15 for RPNow proctoring service) for 3 credits, some courses are upper level. The cost is "truly" unbeatable, unless you were able to get something like Sophia's annual subscription.

I agree that it's certainly frustrating to not be able to review incorrect answers. OnlineDegree does the same thing. But I also agree that it's not really a waste of money. It doesn't matter whether you pass with 70% or 100%: it's still a pass and worth 3 credits. And if you didn't get at least 70% on your mini exam, you probably need to review everything anyway.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

How is not knowing what you got wrong a waste of credit? You pass you get credit. How's that a bad thing?

If I don't know what I got wrong, how can I fix it? Remember the saying "You don't know what you don't know?" If the same question comes up on the final, how can I fix it if I don't know what I got wrong? So in that sense, it's a waste of time and would have skipped the IC course and just done the CLEP with the same results.

You're assuming the same or similar questions will be on the final. In my experience that's not typically what happens. A pass is a pass. With CLEP your grade falls 100% on the exam. You don't know what you get right or wrong on CLEP exams so if you have to repeat one you won't know what you did or didn't get correct either. With InstantCert your grade doesn't fall onto just the exam so you have a better shot at passing.
