The 2025-2026 UMPI Catalog Spring Versionhas just been released with several interesting additions in the YourPace CBE modality.
New programs: A 15-credit undergraduate Graphic Design Certificate. An AA in Human Services.
There’s a new list of official UMPI minors fully available on YourPace, which includes these new or relatively newly members: Community Health, Healthcare Administration (the two are separate minors), Early Childhood Education, Humanities, Pre-Law Studies, and Sociology (a separate minor from Social Studies, which is also available on YourPace).
New or relatively new YourPace undergraduate courses include several courses in Art in and beyond that Graphic Design Certificate. These include Drawing I, Photography I, and Introduction to Film.
There are now eleven MAT courses on YourPace, including College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, II, and II, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics I and II, and Discrete Mathematics. In the fall catalog there were only three MATs. All MATs are 100- or 200-level.
There are also two 4-credit courses new to YourPace either of which are likely to fulfill both the physical science (3D) and science lab (3E) general education requirements: GIS 308 Fundamentals of GIS or GEY 112 Fundamentals of Geology. (GIS 308 looks like the same as or close to ENV 308 Fundamentals of GIS, which is listed as covering those GECs.) Now the notorious BIO 105 Biology for Everyday Life is no longer the only YourPace course that will fulfill 3E! (BS in Healthcare Administration majors will still need BIO 105.)

Some of these minors have been available for a while just not listed on Yourpace.
My brother graduated last year with a BLS minors in Community Health and Healthcare Administration.
He got into a good state MSW program.

@Swiss Cognac, Which state MSW is that? What are the requirements for entry and is it an online program?

Wow, at one point Discrete Math was the only missing course from the Computer Science minor, but I think maybe this is the current state of transfers:
COS 101 - Introduction to Computer Science - TECEP
COS 120 - Introduction to Data Structures - UoPeople??
COS 320 - Software Engineering I - Study.com (maybe also Saylor?)
Two of:
COS 200 - Introduction to Web Design - Sophia
COS 240 - Network Concepts - TECEP (maybe also Saylor?)
COS 310 - Operating Systems - Study.com
I guess it remains just out of reach...

He is 21 and has 2 years full-time work experience in a State psych hospital. He was worried the ACE credits would be an issue because he transferred everything from Sophia/Study but the 10 residency classes you have to take at UMPI. It wasn't an issue he got in and got a little scholarship money too. The program is completely online except for the internship hours you have to do in person.

I am curious as to how studio art courses will work in YourPace. I didn't expect 2 studio art courses in the graphic design certificate. Other colleges have online graphic design programs but the studio courses are in person. There are some certificate programs without studio art courses too. Intro to Film is a tad odd. Seems like there should be more classes focusing on Adobe products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and similar software.

Note that Drawing I and Intro to Film are not part of the Graphic Design Certificate. They’re separate ART courses newly offered on YourPace for gen ed or elective credit.

Still curious as to how studio art courses will work in YourPace. Hopefully much better than BIO105 with that dreadful owl pellet.

this is what I'm happy about
https://catalog.umpi.edu/content.php?cat...navoid=403
scroll down to
Mathematics
• MAT 117 - College Algebra
• MAT 121 - Pre-Calculus
• MAT 131 - Calculus I
• MAT 132 - Calculus II
• MAT 140 - Mathematics for Business
• MAT 166 - Concept-Based Mathematics for Elementary Teachers
• MAT 201 - Probability and Statistics I
• MAT 202 - Probability and Statistics II
• MAT 231 - Calculus III
• MAT 253 - Discrete Mathematics
• MAT 274 - Linear Algebra
I don't know why they don't offer a yourpace mathematics minor. They've got all the courses right there.
But it looks like you can finally do a Liberal Studies, A.A. - General Concentration in Science and Mathematics

These are the requirements for the Mathematics Minor on campus:
Mathematics Minor - 20 Credit Hours
MAT 131 - Calculus I 4 credits
MAT 132 - Calculus II 4 credits
MAT 251 - Foundations of Mathematics 3 credits
MAT 274 - Linear Algebra 3 credits
Mathematics Electives (200 and above) 6 credits
Total: 20 Credit Hours

Maybe it will be available in YourPace in the future? They're still missing MAT 251. But maybe it will happen with more faculty being hired and new programs being added. It's wild how many programs they've added the last 2 years.
