Help with a TESU evaluation
#1
Creative degree planning needed...

TESU just sent me my latest evaluation. They applied my Institute Ethic's course as UL which leaves me needing 4 UL credits and an Ethics course that doesn't duplicate for Gen Ed. I would ask for the waiver and just take 2 UL classes as I planned but when I do the math it looks like this:

I'll have 59.99 credits in Gen Ed and 59.01 credits in my AOS/Free Electives. I'll be one credit short to graduate (the one credit I need with the Ethics course - grrr).

The only hope I have is that I have 6.33 credits in my "Other Courses". They didn't apply them to Free Electives only because I had filled up that section.

I'm asking them now about that option but in the meantime (since I don't know when I'll get an answer) I'm planning for worse case scenario...
What ethics course can I take in the Gen Ed category that doesn't duplicate?

and what about an UL course worth 4 credits? Does that exist? Right now they are applying LIT 399, History of Vietnam, Abnormal Psy and Ethics so it can't be something that duplicates those. I'm thinking I'm just going to have to take 2 UL courses to get that extra credit. I just hate to pay for an extra class if I don't have to.

Any suggestions for how to solve this?

These Shmoop courses all count as upper level. You could also use the Saylor COM-373 Managerial Communications.
Modernist Lit = Lit 399 Special Topics in Lit
Holocaust Lit = Eng 301 The Holocaust
Shakespeare's Plays = Lit 320 Shakespeare 1
Women's Lit = Lit 323 Women in Lit
Lit in the Media = Lit 430 Literature & the Media
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.

I'm not too worried about the UL courses - I have a whole list I know will work but its the Ethics course I'm worried about mostly. What ACE credits come in as Ethics that doesn't duplicate with PHI-384? I've been on the forum and it seems that most of them duplicate. I checked study.com and they have Philosophy 102: Ethics in America and Business 108: Business Ethics. On my transfer sheet from study.com it doesn't indicate how they come in at TESU.

The two main choices for you are Ethics in America, which you already know about, and Environmental Ethics which is available from Saylor.org.
