I’m narrowing down my options (for my last semester) between Capella Flexpath or UMPI Yourpace. I’m surprised to see zero responses for this program, it’s the best self paced program cost that I’ve ever seen.

* they’re adding an AA & BA Liberal Arts in spring 19’

I'm surprised too. Although I guess it depends on their residency requirements and how many transfer courses they allow through Alternative Sources.

"Students in Bachelor’s degree programs may earn a maximum of 30 credits(From PLA)."

Not sure if that's counting CLEP, ACE, DSST, etc since those are all listed in the PLA section of the site.

Here's a list of all the test out/PLA sources they mention:

Military
AP/IB
CLEP
DSST
Excelsior
Challenge Exams
Language Exams
Credential/External Training Review
Academic Portfolio Assessment
ACE- Courses recognized by the American Council on Education though taught by non-accredited training organizations can receive UMPI credit.

The University may assess the transfer of credit from non-regionally accredited institutions on a case-by-case basis.

Portfolio Assessment may also allow students to provide evidence of successfully completing a MOOC program or OpenU work.

Any further information about this UMPI’s YourPace program?

How many transfer credits do they take in total? How's the residency requirement? How are courses conducted? How long is a semester?

Those are the important questions. I couldn't find the answers from searching the site.

Yep. They seem to hide that info very well.

Just an update:

They added a BA in Liberal Arts with concentrations in 5 different fields - accounting/ education/ management/ IT/ & project management.

Cost per session is not $2,000 - it's $1,400.

Sessions are 8 weeks long/ 6 sessions available every year.

*Also, in their FAQ it says there is no limit on the amount of courses one can transfer into a degree - I have my doubts about this so I’m emailing them.

More information on how the courses work is on their FAQ page: https://www.online.umpi.edu/faqs.aspx

It looks like they changed their pricing model from two years ago. They were $2,000 per semester; now, they are $1,400 per session. That's actually an increase in cost since 8-week sessions are shorter than 16-week semesters. In the past two years, they've added some business administration concentrations and a BA in accounting in addition to the liberal arts programs.
