Upgrad/SSBM Geneva - Global DBA - 36 months, $11K USD
#1
Alas, they've added their first Upgrad Doctorate through a partnership with SSBM Geneva. If you can handle the "upgrad" parts/phases of the program, then this is a very inexpensive GDBA that can be completed in 3 years!

Upgrad Link: https://www.upgrad.com/ca/doctor-of-busi...ation-ssbm
SSBM Geneva site: https://www.ssbm.ch/ , check out their online accreditation/tuition
They have apparently applied for ACBSP already, I wouldn't go for them just yet, until they get it...

A bit harsh, but this degree might be useless unless for personal development, and even for personal development there are better choices

I created this post as a "place holder" or something along those lines, as this institution may follow what Charisma University has done - seek ACBSP programmatic or secondary accreditation and then seek country specific -"RA equivalent"- accreditation. Anyways, as I mentioned in my post, this is something I won't be getting even after they've received ACBSP, until they get that "RA equivalency", it's just here for me to check up on when or IF that time comes...

Interestingly SSBM has an "... Executive DBA is delivered in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Zagreb, Croatia that is a publicly recognized and accredited university with a double world-known accreditations AACSB and EPAS.

https://www.ssbm.ch/executive-dba/

The cost is Eu15k.

Anyway, what is the difference between a DBA and an Executive DBA?

Further check on some SSBM diploma posted on the internet, the degree is actually issued by SSBM. U of Zagreb is just mentioned as a co-op partner.
See the image here attached.

Hence, the DBA degree is not from the U of Zagreb and is not AACSB accredited per see.

Based on the misleading marketing info. SSBM should be avoided. Just too shady.

Yeah. If it was awarded by University of Zagreb which is AACSB accreditied I would've done it. I went to the University of Zagreb website, they don't even offer online classes.

SSBM has a page on ACBSP : https://acbsp.org/members/?id=64671995& but it is a "profile page"  (different but not legit)

Zagreb doesn't list Upgrad or SSBM as a partner: https://zsem.hr/en/international-partner...ion=europe

At least 4 of SSBM’s faculty members teach (or at least claim to teach) at Zagreb. http://tondesignserver.com.br/ssbm/our-faculty/

The meaning is pretty clear to me: professors from Zagreb are also associated with SSBM. Nothing less and certainly nothing more.

In the same way, when I took a community college math class, the math program was taught in cooperation with Yale University. My instructor was getting a PhD at Yale. Doesn’t mean I earned a Yale degree, Yale credit, etc. same for SSBM.
Master of Accountancy (taxation concentration), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in progress.
Master of Business Administration (financial planning specialization), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in progress.

BA, UMPI.  Accounting major; Business Administration major/Management & Leadership concentration.  Awarded Dec. 2021.

In-person/B&M: BA (history, archaeology)
In-person/B&M: MA (American history)

Sophia: 15 courses (42hrs)

I asked for more information about the executive one. It appears their other DBAs do transfer through WES, so that is significant. I asked WES personally they do not transfer.

I've taken liberty to check on the school in question and the results are as some of you already had in hinsight.

The  Faculty of Economics & Business in Zagreb never heard of this school, granted there are professors that teach there but the people in office + exchange biro told me they never heard of said school (two official channels from the Faculty). They have no comment regarding said professors teaching on SSBM Geneva. (aside on what i saw is that one is Alumni no longer teaching and the second one is partime on EFZG)
They directed me to the page;
 https://www.efzg.unizg.hr/international-...ents/15448
..where it says they have no agreements in Switzerland with anyone let alone SSBM Geneva. And that this is a breach on SSBM Geneva's part, they have no approval to list EFZG and to use them on their webpage. More so the people in Zagreb told me the Croatian education system does not have DBA's and for PhD you have to be in academic's so none what so ever on SSBM has any value, you could say they straight out lie.

On the page they list Eduqua which only works if you intend to stay in Swiss,it is not a world wide organization and even then its a Private agency.

On top of it all SSBM Geneva has no state accreditation from the Swiss, AAQ.
Here is a list of state accredited organizations in Swiss:
https://akkreditierungsrat.ch/akkreditie...ditierung/
https://studyprogrammes.ch/en

It took me a weeks time with email to confirm everyones suspicion.
So if you want to pay a lot of money for something you seem to only prove that you can be scammed then you have my go.

I have to provide an update here. I updated another thread about SSBM. So apparently the degree is not awarded by Zagreb it is awarded by SSBM themselves. I asked for a copy of the certificate, it basically looks less fancy then a coursera one. I asked WES with a preview of it and their "transcript" example, WES said they would not evaluate it.

It will not carry over at all.
