Upper-level credits - Do they always transfer as such?
#1
Hey, guys.  I'm considering taking this course to fulfill one of my "written English" requirements at Excelsior College.  It's an upper-level technical writing course at the University of Idaho, and I'm hoping there won't be a problem transferring it to EC for upper-level credit.

Engl 317: Technical Writing (3 Credits, UI)
http://www.uidaho.edu/academics/dee/inde...sh#Engl317

Is it safe to assume that upper-level courses at one four-year university will *usually* transfer as upper-level courses at another university?  Or, is this another one of those "it depends" situations?

Thanks for the inside scoop!

Looking at Excelsior's catalog, Tech Writing is a 300 level course (so UL). There's also a DSST that will likely be a lot cheaper.

Also....best bet is to contact Excelsior ;-)
Up next:  WGU MSCSIA - Early 2023
Dropped:  WGU MSITM - Wasn't my cup of tea
Completed:  WGU BSCSIA (started 10/1/2018, finished 01/11/2019), Pierpont BOG AAS (5/2018)

That DSST isn't upper level, but whenever a LL shares a name with an UL course, it's a toss. I second this suggestion to contact Excelsior!
