This is great news! It just bumped up my in-progress MBA from regionally accredited to ACBSP.

It's still RA, that has nothing to do with ACBSP (which only applies to business degrees). RA applies to the school itself.

The ACBSP doesn't negate regional accreditation, it merely gives an additional accreditation to the business school. I don't think he was arguing otherwise.

Exactly. There are certain employers in my area that only want AACSB or ACBSP grads for select positions. This just gives me more options.

Several of the top crop of finance companies prefer it for certain jobs. If you are an accountant, certain states require undergrad/grad to come from an ACBSP or AACSB school to sit for the CPA exam. I would imagine that accounting firms in these states would prefer applicants from ACBSP/AACSB schools for that reason.
