I applied for Fafsa and I was awarded $3200 for the fall term. UMPI charged me $2800 for the term and sent me a check for $400.
I was also awarded $3200 for the spring term. The question is What happens I am able to finish in the Fall term? Do you think UMPI will send me the check? I would be sooooooo cool.

Nope. They can only send a check to someone who's an enrolled student there. FAFSA hasn't sent them that Spring check yet - or if they have, UMPI won't be cashing it until you enroll.

You would need to be enrolled full time for the Spring semester as you are for the Fall semester. I completed 4 classes in Spring Term 1 last year to maintain my full time status for financial aid. If I only completed 3 classes in that term I would have been a part time student for the Spring semester. I did not take classes the second term.

If you want to take advantage of it, because of your grant (if it is a grant and not a loan, because if it is a loan you will pay it back in 3 - 4 years) look at the other minors that UMPI offers and see if you can achieve any of them with just 4 classes to take in Spring1. Delays your degree a bit from being confirmed to take more calsses. Otherwise take the degree and be happy you're done

That is a great idea, but if everything goes well, I will be starting Law school in February.
