In light of TESU starting to push people away from study partners/ending partnerships, does anyone here knows if these courses are still valid as UL in TESU? They were when I last checked. I wasn't given an end date by advisor but hesitant to ask. Otherwise, are there alternative sources? (That doesn't cost an arm/leg like APU..)
Coopersmith:
- Linear Algebra (MAT-305)
- Concepts in Math and Quantitative Analysis (MAT-301)
Completed TESU BA in CS & Math
Target grad school: OMSCS, or UoTA MOCSO. (Contemplating research)

IMHO, I think TESU was moving away from providers because they were going to have to implement 30 RA credits. They probably saw it coming down the road. I would think if they are on your degree plan, then the courses should work? Not sure how long ago you asked about the courses, but I was never given an end date for several courses listed on the degree plan from SDC.
I know that my advisor checked ACE's website to make sure of the date that certain courses were going to lose their accreditation. One course was due to lose it, and he said to watch it because it may expire or be renewed. Thankfully, it was renewed.
I would just shoot an email to TESU though if you are concerned. Personally, I would not be concerned because if they approved it for your degree plan, and it is still ACE approved then in my mind it should still work.

If you want Linear Algebra for CS, be aware that it may or may not work. The advisors have been giving conflicting information about this. I am leaning towards it still being accepted for that degree and the advisors are, as usual, talking nonsense. But it is still something to consider.
If you want to take those for the ASNSM math then you should go right ahead. They are both still math and Coopersmith is still accepted by TESU.

@Dorothy44 How do I check that it is still ace approved? I tried searching on the ACE site( https://www.acenet.edu/National-Guide/Pa...fault.aspx) but can't seem to find anything about Coopersmith.
@rachel83az, I see, I'm going for Math/CS BA, so I reckon I'm fine? I wish they'd announce their partnership end dates somewhere...!

Coopersmith is associated with the NCCRS only, not ACE.

It's slightly different than ACE in that you need to have Coopersmith send the transcript directly to the college, you don't go through the ACE intermediary.

Coopersmith uses NCCRS, not ACE. Their page can be found here: http://www.nationalccrs.org/organization...consulting
At the very least, even if it's not accepted for your CS then it should be fine for math. So you're good.

I see, do they have a validity period page like ACE does?

You won't find the course within ACE as Coopersmith/Davar and a few others such as Onlinedegree.com are NCCRS recommended for credit.
There are several providers that are not ACE recommended for credit, these will work mainly for Excelsior and TESU, but not for COSC.
I sent an email to TESU last month asking for a student, here are the info you're requesting equivalencies for.
I'm just copying and pasting the extra info for Davar courses that was asked for as well...
1. The following Coopersmith courses are considered upper-level:
Concepts in Math and Quantitative Analysis (transfers as MAT-303)
Linear Algebra (transfers as MAT-321)
2. Davar's Management Information Systems transfers to TESU as MIS-301
3. Two of the following Davar courses could be used as upper-level general management credits:
FIN-310 Multinational Business Finance
FIN-401 Corporate Finance = FIN-311 Corporate Finance
MAN-330 International Management = MAN-372 International Management
MAR-330 Principles of Sales = MAR-310 Principles of Sales

Yes, they do have a date range for validity period.

I see good to know it is still valid as of last month, thank you!
Is there anywhere we can find when the end date/validity period?
