call ALEKS today

I e-mailed them on Saturday and received a reply today:

"...We are advising all of our users who are going through ACE to let you know that we are in the process of looking into continuing our affiliation with ACE accreditation at this time. Once we have a definitive answer regarding this issue, we will contact you to advise you of our stance with ACE."

So mine doesn't say anything about getting a refund, but I didn't ask for one (yet).

Yeah, I did ask for one in the event that the product is unusable for me.
Still , their response was disconcerting.

I just called and spoke to someone in customer service, they said that ACE is reviewing their courses to make sure it is up to their standards. I asked if they wanted to continue their "relationship" with ACE and was told they definitely do. They are working as fast as possible to straighten this out.

So the official word is pretty much they are undergoing re-accreditation.

As I said before though, I find it pretty suspicious that ACE removed ALEKS' name from the list of organizations, if they were simply getting re-accredited.

I just wrote them from my XXX college email.

I explained the great benefit of the ACE approval and also mentioned the option of the National CCRS. I used 3 ALEKS classes for my degree, they saved me a lot of money!

Wow....I hope people get the message to them. This was a real bargain for my degree. I hope the rectify that.

McGraw-Hill split and divided the company into financial and education -- education was promptly sold to an equity capital company.

The company and all its entities is being sliced and diced and sold, lay-offs by the hundreds and massive overseas outsourcing.

The whole program is probably running on fumes. Some of you may be familiar with Peterson's StudentEdge? Same fate. Corporate ghost town. No one works there anymore.

The expiration date on ACE has now been updated to 10/31/2013! If you were planning to knock this out now may be the time. Hopefully it will get extended further but in the event that they do not get renewed, now is the time to get this done.

I can only find it on the ACE website when I login to the ACE Registry and Transcript System. I was able to get my Trigonometry credit thanks to cmkstar's post. I am going to try to finish Intro to Stats this month in case the time doesn't get extended.
