us history 1 or 2?
#1
okie, my book for management is STILL not here and i'm almost done with the IC studying so i'm starting to get a little pissed with the seller. but so as to not kill my much-needed braincells with pointless anger, i might as well use my brain to productively plan my next exam. Cool

so...i know some people have been awesome and given me tips on how to study for the us history subjects. however, i must ask again esp for those that just took a us history clep exam recently...

which one is easier?

"easier" as in more facts and less concepts. my brain is more like a word processor; it only likes to copy and paste. ask it to do more like analyzing, and it'll give you an error message.

thanks so much you guys! =]

I would say that US History 1 and 2 are about the same difficulty leve. I got a 61 and 65 on the two tests. All I used were the IC flashcards.

Look at it this way, what time line are YOU most familiar and comfortable with: From the Civil War era back to the "explorer" age -or- The Civil War era forwward to the modern age?

Take a look at the "official" exam requirments as set by the college board to give you a broader scope of each exam.

Then it's on to Mr. Peabody & Sherman in the "Way Back Machine" to get all of your facts, dates, person, and places down to a science. GOOD LUCK!!

Hi,

I took them both, and in retrospect, found US History I a little easier, at least in terms of remembering the facts. To me, the beginning of a country was fairly dramatic and memorable, and I was able to make an emotional connection with it. US History II was not that much harder, but it seemed to cover a lot of ground, very broad. IC worked well for both, as did the AP American History site listed somewhere on this board.

Try searching for it.

Good luck!

p.s. Funny, I just looked at my scores, and I scored higher on II! I guess I just felt more confident going in on US I. It may have been that I took it with American Government, and had so many facts swirling in my head that day!
