French CLEP |

Hi all, I'm looking for some info on the French CLEP, since I have been told not to CLEP out of any literature classes for my AA program if I hope to get into the BA in English program that I have my eye on. I took 3 years of French in high school, but nothing since then and that was over a decade ago.
I have looked through old threads and found mention of Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone. Does anyone have any other recommendations for helpful resources for this CLEP? My school will award 8 credits and I have to get a score of 50.
The website below was also recommended somewhere. If anyone has tried this course before can you tell me if you need the workbooks and textbook? Was it worth the cost?
Resource: French in Action
Thanks all!!!

I see this question in this forum from time to time. What is the easiest test out there?
Well, I found this online and thought it might help.
\
So, how do CLEP exams stack up as to difficulty? It is hard to say with precision because College Board and Dantes do not publish their overall pass rates, but the military posts their pass rates online. Military testers can take CLEP or DSST (Dantes) exams for free which could influence their choice to take an exam âcoldâ or without a lot of preparation. That being said, here are the military pass rates, arranged easiest to most difficult.

Bear in mind a few details. These pass rates are for 2008 military on base computer versions of these exams. Some have been modified since these results were compiled. The best way to make an exam easy is to work hard, use the best materials available and study for exams that interest you. And a sure fire edge is being a member of InstantCert.
More later on what makes an exam easy.

Thinking about splitting $20 with a friend or two. WIll we be able to study for more than one test? You may be wondering why? Im really broke. Im working two jobs - one that pays 100% to my school account and another unpaid internship. Im trying to CLEP out of Principles of Managment and Principles of Marketing this month.

Please bear with me as I am new to this. I read that TESC changed some of their requirements I was wondering if you needed upper level credits for a BA in History. I think this is something I would love to pursue and it really helps with time constrants being a new father of twins. Also I have about 35-40 credits from two 4 year colleges depending on how they accept my quarter hour credits would it be best for me to go ahead and apply since I have a pretty general idea for the clep exams I plan to take or should I wait until I take some exams? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated from anybody with prior experience! THANKS!

What to do with old CLEP books? |

By that I mean like the REA books that are the latest editions available but I've completed the exams they go with. I was thinking of selling them as I finish each exam on eBay. Anyone have any good ideas on what else to do with them? I kind of got excited when I found this site and bought all the books I need for the CLEPs/DSSTs I want to take but most of the books I'm not going to want when I finish the exams. Thanks.
