Financial Aid... how does it work? - rebel100 - 05-10-2013 Take a look at the distance learning options at one of the CC's in New Mexico http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/15448-cheap-credits-new-mexico-out-state.html Stupid cheap and they shouldn't have a problem with a consortium agreement with COSC to allow you to use F/A......just be aware that the courses are almost certain to come over as LL. Here are a few reviews I did on my experience at CSU-Pueblo: http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/14758-colorado-state-pueblo-organizational-theory-soc432.html (organizational leadership concentration) http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/14584-colorado-state-pueblo-ul-health-culture.html (health care concentration) http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/14557-csu-pueblo-cultural-geography-course-review.html (an undergrad gen ed...and a 4th class to make me a full time student) http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/13736-colorado-state-university-independent-study-review.html (General stuff on CSU and the consortium process) Financial Aid... how does it work? - NatashaB - 05-10-2013 Thanks - and also for sending me your CPS. I'm not sure that many (or any) of the credits I plan to transfer in are UL, apart from maybe one DSST (and the capstone). I assumed I would get them covered off via the COSC courses. I might need to rethink things to make sure I have the 15 UL credits covered off. Financial Aid... how does it work? - rebel100 - 05-10-2013 NatashaB Wrote:Thanks - and also for sending me your CPS. Again, this is , in part, why I went through CSU-Pueblo for portions. here is a link to the Master List of Exams, they note if a test is UL or LL and everything else you need. http://www.charteroak.edu/Current/Academics/EarningCredits/exam/exams-master-list.pdf I just went through this rather thoroughly in another thread..... Top of page 2 http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-thomas-edison-charter-oak-specific/19378-transcript-review-help-big-3-a-2.html Financial Aid... how does it work? - rebel100 - 05-10-2013 You might really mull that post over.....testing out of this degree will be a lot cheaper than taking courses at CSU-Pueblo. Of course, it would be fully out of pocket. I used F/A because i got a need based grant, I would have tested out rather than take on a loan of any sort. Financial Aid... how does it work? - NatashaB - 05-10-2013 Thanks again... I think I need to look at switching out some of the lower level CLEPs I planned to take for upper level TECEPs/DSSTs. I'll have to have a play around with my spreadsheet
