My guess is that it will not work because you don't have to pay dues to join Working America. That's just a guess, though.

What was the email address? I couldn’t find it on their website. Thank you.

online@egccfreecollege.org
That's the address I corresponded with.

I asked about working America as well and this was the response:
"As long as they are a union working paying union dues and graduated from highs school they are eligible."
They didn't look very deeply into my question, so my guess is no it will not work since working America is not a union and you don't pay dues.

Good evening,
I was just wondering if your band director ever got back to you about his experience at the school?  Really thinking of pursuing a degree through them.  Thanks again for this thread

I'm part of AFSCME and they accepted my live-in boyfriend as an eligible family member for the Free College benefit with EGCC.
He's going for the AAB Business MGMT - Information Systems (because of the added bonus of the Google IT Support Professional certificate) and I'm thinking about doing the same just because it's free. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone who's eligible.
Shoot me a message if you have questions.

My union (OPEIU) has this. Great benefit!

Btw, I like the look of the associates in individualized studies: http://egcc.edu/programs/associate-individualized-study/
It's one of the online options that is eligible for the union benefit. It looks like a custom degree that requires you to do 18 credits through them. Their online course offerings are limited, but it could be a great way to pick up more credits for free(if you're in a union) while getting an associates.

Got an email today. They expanded the available options a little bit: https://www.egccfreecollege.org/degree-programs/

Looks like the associates in business management has some new options such as concentrations/focuses in cyber security, programming/development, data science and digital media.

Has anyone gotten any further with this?

impasta: how did you work your fafsa app? I’m an other “dependent/domestic partner” for a union worker, but no clue how to accurately complete the fafsa part.

Interesting, I work at the IRS and I am a union member. But looks like my union does not participate on this program.
