Sadly, No, not at this time... but for $49 it's a good entry level cert to have for newbies getting into IT... Just to clarify, TESU doesn't accept many certificates - but they do take ACE credit. So for this one, they would probably take it from your ACE transcript rather than the certificate (if they decided to accept it later). Right now, it looks like they won't accept new ACE providers that don't jump through their hoops, but if Google/Coursera contacted them and provided the info, and TESU put them in their "accepted provider" list, then they would take the courses through ACE. The "Program Description & College Credit" section has changed and now shows the following: "Complete and pass with a 70% or higher the three program courses: Computer Hardware & Operating Systems, Computer Networking, and Basics of Computing and Programming. Learners who successfully earn the MicroBachelors program certificate in Computer Science Fundamentals will be able to elect transferable college credit at no additional cost from Thomas Edison State University." https://www.edx.org/microbachelors/nyux-computer-science-fundamentals However, I think $500 for 3 credits is really too much. RE: TESU and MicroBachelors - doom - 04-11-2020 The information on the TESU site has been updated too: MicroBachelors Programs by edX® https://www.tesu.edu/degree-completion/edx Credit Request Nondegree Services Application for TESU edX Partnership https://www.tesu.edu/degree-completion/edx-credit-election RE: TESU and MicroBachelors - cardiacclep - 04-18-2020 I wonder if there are plans to expand this program to include more course perhaps that can be more useful to individuals applying to CS Masters looking for cheap prereqs (data structures etc)? |
